Homeopathic MANAGEMENT OF CHRONIC PATHOLOGICAL CASES IN NAIMINATH MEDICAL COLLEGE, HOSPITAL & RESEARCH CENTRE, AGRA

Homeopathy is the science of life. concept of cure in homeopathy is simple. In Homeopathy nothing is impossible. We face impossibilities when we lack knowledge of fundamental principles of Homeopathy and when we are grossly prejudiced about the result-producing power of Homeopathy. Here, I am presenting few gross pathological, disease per se meaning terminally ill cases, heart tonic, scalp psoriasis, wound healing homeopathy and some of the surgical cases and some homeopathic medicine for cleaning arteries and pericardial effusion treated successfully by prescribing similimum at Naiminath Homeopathic Hospital which is attached to Naiminath Homeopathic College, Agra.
CASE-1
A patient aged about 65 years, , graphites naturaliscame to our hospital in ambulance on dated 17/07/2018 after denial from allopathic hospitals. She was in unconscious condition with high blood pressure (240/90 mm of hg). She regained some consciousness or looked like semiconscious when a strong stimulus was applied. On asking about her complaints, she said that she had no problem (koi pareshani nahi hai) and again returned to unconscious state along with deep sleep and loud snoring.
She was suffering with LARGE SUBACUTE SUB-DURAL HAEMORRHAGE IN LEFT FRONTAL REGION WITH CONTRALATERAL MIDLINE SHIFT local disease in homoeopathy measuring about 15cm as shown in CT head. Her condition worsened after treatment in an allopathic hospital thereafter in a medical college. On the advice from some cured patient of this hospital, her family members brought her to Naiminath Homeopathic Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Agra.
On the basis of her mentioned symptoms the prescription of Arnica Montana 0/1 was made with 4 doses at every 5 min interval followed by 4 doses at every 10 min interval diluted from the 1st cup.
During the bedside round, after the administration of this medication for an hour her attendants reported that she is sleeping while looking much relaxed and was talking to them just before she dozed off. The same medicine was given 1 hourly and by evening she started feeling pain and explained us where the pain was & also the intensity of the pain. During this interval, she regained partial consciousness and with drowsiness.
DAY-2: During the bed side round, the observation was made that she still wasn’t recognising her family members. Instead she was using some terms like BAHU & relating everyone to her.
DAY-2: In evening after administration of Arnica Montana LM 2, half hourly diluted in 1st cup, she started recognising everyone, started eating and stayed awake for more than 10 min.
DAY-3: After administering Arnica Montana LM 2 half-hourly diluted in 2nd cup, the patient regained complete consciousness and was not relapsing in her sleep. By evening she started moving her extremities voluntarily as pain in her extremities reduced.
DAY-7: After making a change in the prescription and administering Arnica Montana LM 3 half hourly diluted in 1st cup. The patient was able to stand.
DAY-9: On day 9, Arnica Montana LM 4 half hourly diluted in 1st cup was given after which she started walking few steps at a time with support.
Day-15: The patient started walking slowly. She was discharged on dated 31/07/2018 with Arnica Montana 0/4 20th cup in a stable and happy condition.
Follow-up: After 10 days she visited for her follow up in the Hospital OPD on her own without any support. Blood pressure was normal without intake of any other medicine.
July 4 (latest follow-up): She was completely fine. In addition to this, she was doing all her work along with taking care of her mother-in-law.
CASE-2
A patient aged about 35 years came to Naiminath Homeopathic Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Agra on dated 21/06/2018 with complaint OF SPINAL DEGENERATION – INCLUDING LIGAMENTAL HYPERTROPHY WITH THECAL SAC INDENTATION, LUMBAR SPONDYLOSIS, DISC BULGE, RIGHT PARACENTRAL HERNIATION, B/L FORAMINA STENOSIS, SACRALISATION, due to which he was in severe pain, medical sciolists in organon, unable to stand on his feet (even with support), sit, or lie and turn on his bed. He had a history of repeated weight lifting as he was a confectioner. His complaint started after throwing a pipe during the construction of his house.
The patient had a difficult childhood because his mother passed away when he was only 6 months old. He also felt a lot of burden of his family after the death of his father (8years ago due to CA-throat). He was in a grave state of grief as his only son at that time expired due to CA- eye (6 years ago), He also had fear of losing his 4.5 year old son as he was suffering with severe illness (Pamphigus Vulgaris). The patient is very aggressive by nature.
DAY-1: On day 1, I prescribed Arnica Montana 0/1, 4 doses at 5 minute interval, diluted in 1st cup followed by 4 doses at 10 minute interval and finally 1 hourly. He didn’t get any relief for the first 2 days.
DAY-2: I administered Arnica Montana 0/1, 4 doses at 5 minute interval, diluted in 1st cup followed by 4 doses at 10 minute interval and finally 1 hourly.
DAY-3: On day 3, I increased the potency – Arnica Montana 0/2 with 1st cup, 1 hourly.
DAY-4: After administering Arnica Montana 0/2 diluted in 2nd cup at 1 hour interval the patient started walking and could go down stairs with support but had a stretching type of pain while walking.
DAY-14: On day 14, the patient was being given Arnica Montana 0/5 diluted in 2nd cup, 3 hourly. Patient was able to walk without any support and with very less pain.
DAY-17: The patient was discharged (10/07/2018) with Arnica Montana 0/5 diluted in 5th cup. He was able to walk without support and any pain, capable to sit in squatting and was advised for a follow-up visit after 10 days. Though he did not come for his follow-up, he visited the hospital for his son’s treatment and he is completely fine till now.
CASE-3
A multi organ failure Patient aged about 58 years came to Naiminath Homeopathic Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Agra, in a ‘vegetable state’ i.e. no response to any kind of stimuli, no movement, eyes open with a layer on them, snoring loudly, rattling sound while breathing, flies sitting on his eyes, nose, ear, on the whole face and body without any response at all, gangrene in left foot and finger, no urination even after catheterization since last 15 days, was on regular dialysis twice a week for last 2 years, TEMP-101OF. He was advised by some allopathic doctor to take discharge from their medical college and to go to Naiminath Homeopathic Hospital. I prescribed opium 0/1, 4 doses at interval of 5 minutes followed by 4 doses at an interval of 10 minutes which resulted in some observable changes in patient as he started responding to questions, ingesting water, listening, turning his neck and moving his extremities.
DAY-1: I changed the potency to Opium 0/3. On the same day after 8 doses I changed the medicine to Opium 0/5 1 hourly. Till evening, the patient started responding to commands.
DAY-2: After administering Opium 0/5 diluted in 2nd cup, the patient started gaining consciousness and was capable to move his limbs on command, responding when someone called out his name and had tea and biscuits for morning breakfast.
DAY-3: The patient was being administered Opium 0/5 diluted in 2nd cup, responding to questions by blinking his eyes while his movements improved.
DAY-4: On day 4, that patient after taking Opium 0/5 diluted in 3rd cup was able to sit with support while his eating capacity increased. He was trying to speak but was unclear.
DAY-5: After administering Opium 0/5 diluted in 3rd cup, the patient started speaking and demanding for paneer and kheer to his family.
DAY-6: On day 6, he was given Opium 0/6 diluted in 1st cup. The patient in the morning said that he does not want to eat patient’s food and will have normal food. Therefore, he ate poori and sabji which was a little spicy and told every person who went to him that the food was spicy.
DAY-7: The patient after taking Opium 0/6 diluted in 2nd cup, started sitting without support. He started using his hands for work while his speech was much better and started showing anger. Gangrene was better.
DAY-8: The patient was discharged in a stable condition.
CASE-4
A patient aged about 55 years came to Naiminath Homeopathic Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Agra on dated 17/11/2018 in a condition of quadriplegia. The patient wept as she was unable to move her body. There was loss of sensation and function in extremities, uneasy feeling of nausea with restlessness (ghabarahat), felt hungry but was unable to eat. There was a stress of loan repayment which she had taken for the marriage of her daughter. After examination & seeing the reports, diagnosis was made that the patient is suffering from B/L stress fracture of femoral head and Chronic Hypokalemia and was on regular treatment. I prescribed Gelsemium LM/1, 4doses at every 5 minute interval.
After 2 hours, her restlessness reduced and by evening she started eating food.
DAY-2: After giving Gelsemium LM 1, 1 hourly, diluted in 3rd cup, she was able to feel sensation in extremities and start moving them gradually. Restlessness was almost negligible. I continued administering the same medicine with 3rd cup 1hourly.
DAY-3: The patient was given Gelsemium LM 1, 1 hourly, diluted in 4th cup. She was able to stand with support.
DAY-4: On day 4 the patient continued with Gelsemium LM 1, 1 hourly, diluted in 5th cup. She was walking without any support with least pain <-walking long, no restlessness.
Day-9: Gelsemium LM 1, 1 hourly, diluted in 6th cup was being given to the patient. She was completely fine with no complaint. She was even without any supplement which she was taking while at home.
Day -14: The patient was discharged with Gelsemium 0/1diluted in 14th cup. She was capable to do all the daily routine work on her own without any obstacle in her health. No complaints have appeared till today.
CASE-5
A young boy aged about 13 years came to Naiminath Homeopathic Medical College, Hospital And Research Centre, Agra on dated 21/10/2018 with complaint of high grade fever since 5 days, pain in chest since 3 days, pain in head since 3 days, burning in epigastric region since 5 days and constant, violent, involuntary movement of body for the last 1 year (with a H/O high grade fever). His parents took him everywhere, spent a lot of money, went through many investigations, procedures and were tired of explanations by allopathic doctors. Lastly everybody informed them that there was no cure for his disease and he will stay like this with the violent, involuntary movement of the body for the rest of his life. I prescribed Zincum Metallicum 0/1, 4 doses at an interval of 5 minutes. His headache and jerks reduced after the first dose. After second dose, the jerk and headache disappeared. Headache completely ceased and the temperature fell after 3rd dose and he was feeling much better after the 4th dose. Thereafter, I stopped the medicine and kept the patient on placebo only.
Day-1: Jerks ceased by evening.
Day-2: No fever, no headache, slight weakness, burning in epigastric region reduced, pain in back persisted.
Day-3: Patient said that he felt the jerk in morning but it was not seen by anyone. So, I gave him a dose of best medicine.
Day-4: No jerk, burning in chest and pain in back slightly persisted.
Day-5: No complain
Day-6: No complain
Day-7: No complain
Day-8: Patient was discharged on 28/11/2018 in a stable condition with no complaints.
Post 12 days, during the OPD follow-up, the patient stated that he felt 1 or 2 jerks at the time of study. But I still continued with placebo.
On dated 22/12/2018 during the OPD follow-up the patient said that he is completely fine.
Following that, for 2-3 months he was on second best medicine and was completely fine.
CASE-6
A female patient aged about 40 years came to the Emergency Department of Naiminath Homeopathic Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Agra on 15 August 2018. It was a known case of CA-GB. Her complaints arose after chemotherapy which started 4 months ago after cholecystectomy.
When the patient came to the hospital, she was extremely restless and was in an unconscious/semiconscious condition for 3 days with violent convulsions for 5 days due to secondaries in brain. Patient also lost her vision and memory due to recurrent seizures, radiotherapy and chemotherapy for CA-GB as well as developed secondories in brain.
I prescribed Rhus Toxicodendron 0/1, 1 globule of number 10 mixed in 100 ml aqua, 5 ml of this above medicinal solution diluted in 1st cup, 1 spoon given 1 hourly.
Day-1: Seizures continued on 1st day and the condition was static till mid night. Patient slept after mid night. I continued with Rhus Toxicodendron 0/1 at 1 hour interval.
Day-2: When the patient woke up in the morning she got her vision back. She was able to see but changeability in mood persisted i.e. she was laughing and weeping alternately. She started listening and following the commands. Therefore I continued with the same medicine.
Day-3: I administered Rhus Toxicodendron 0/3, 1 globule of number 10 mixed in 100 ml aqua, 5 ml of this above medicinal solution diluted in 1st cup, 1 spoon given 1hourly.
Patient felt hungry and was learning how to take food. No seizures appeared after the first day. She started walking with support by evening. Same medicine was continued with increase in the cup.
Day-4: Medicine prescribed was Rhus Toxicodendron 0/3, 1 globule of number 10 mixed in 100 ml aqua, 5 ml of this above medicinal solution diluted in 4th cup, 1 spoon given, 1 hourly which resulted in increase in the walking capacity and decrease in the support which she needed while walking. The patient also started listening and was trying to talk.
Day-5: There was an increase in Medicine power. Rhus Toxicodendron 0/4 was now being administered, 1 globule of number 10 mixed in 100 ml aqua, 5 ml of this above medicinal solution diluted in 1st cup, 1 spoon given, 1 hourly. Patient started following command, tried to do the work herself. There were no fits and she started walking on her own without any support.
Day-7: Prescription was Rhustoxicodendron 0/4, 1 globule of number 10 mixed in 100 ml aqua, 5 ml of this above medicinal solution diluted in 2nd cup, 1 spoon given, 1 hourly. Patient answered to the questions that were asked, ate the food herself and her walk was much better and without stumbling.
Day-9: The medicine administered was Rhustoxicodendron 0/4, 1 globule of number 10 mixed in 100 ml aqua, 5 ml of this above medicinal solution diluted in 2nd cup, 1 spoon given 1 hourly.
She wore new clothes for EID festival, answered properly, and started recognising everyone who is coming but past memory was still not clear. She ate well but felt pain in abdomen at night.
Day-14: Prescription-: Rhus Toxicodendron 0/4, 1 globule of number 10 mixed in 100 ml aqua, 5 ml of this above medicinal solution diluted in 2nd cup, 1 spoon given 1 hourly.
The patient felt no pain in abdomen, was recognising everyone, and was also recalling past moments. Her memory improved and the response to questions was much better. She was eating well.
Day-15: The patient was discharged in a stable condition with Rhus Toxicodendron 0/5, 1 globule of number 10 mixed in 100 ml aqua, 5 ml of this above medicinal solution diluted in 2nd cup,1 spoon given 1 hourly.
